Worked a long day on my kitchen remodel and didn't get around to our daily walk till late in the evening. Lucky Me! Tonight's walk was probably the nicest walk I have taken in months. The air was cool with partly overcast sky's and the sun hanging low in the western sky. The birds sang a wonderful tune especially the Red Wing Blackbirds in the cattails. Molly enjoyed the freshness in the air and ran about with much energy. Me, I just took it all in. Wow! What a great walk.

The Blossoms on the trees are awesome. Even after yesterdays snow they are beautiful and smell good too.

I decided that I had to get out and find a Geocache, or two or three, today. So after doing minimal work on my kitchen remodel, Molly and I set out on a Geocache adventure. Our first find, (GCVATD) Cub Scout Cache. The scouts hid this one nicely but my new Map60CSx zeroed out right on top of the cache. Luck? Probably! Molly and I then found (GCVFE9) Solar Powered Cache on a nice trail in an area we haven't visited before. This one was hidden well and even though I looked just inches away it took a while to find. The last hunt of the day was(GCTQ2K) The Piller. This cache is located in Daniels Park where Molly always enjoys jumping from rock to rock on the cliffs above the Cherokee Ranch. Found the cache in short order but was disappointed that it was a Micro labeled as a "Small". It was nice to get out of the house and unwind for a while.

He has Risen!

Molly and I enjoyed a long 2-hour walk this morning around Chatfield. Even though the park had many visitors this morning, Molly just wanted to hang out with me. So we walked on trails we don't normally follow and stopped often to enjoy our surroundings. As we walked, the phrase "He has Risen" came to mind several times and I thought about what that meant to me. Just as Molly had elected to stay with me this day, I too, just wanted to commune with my Master for a few moments, enjoying his creation. We both enjoyed  our Easter morning walk.

Spring has definitely arrived. I have seen many birds on our walks lately. Robins, Redwing Black Bird, Morning Doves, and Flickers. The grass is starting to green up as well as some spring flowers poking up through the dirt. Today I noticed a lot of flowering trees with blossoms. I like spring. I cant wait until the trails open up in the high country.

I just realized it's been some time since I posted last. It has been a busy few weeks with Spring Yard Work, Taxes, and Kitchen Remodel adding to my already full schedule. Oh Well! Things will lighten up soon and it will be time to go camping and hiking the high country. Molly and I continue to take our evening walks and tonight I noticed SKUNK TRACKS along the creek. I'll be keeping an eye (and nose) out for this critter as I do not wish to have another incident.
